Right in the centre of the North Wessex Downs National Landscape and hugging the banks of the River Avon, the family-friendly site at Wiltshire’s Woodbridge Inn offers up three acres of leafy grounds to spread out and relax in.

Surrounded by sleepy rural hamlets with old-world names like Manningford Bruce and Honey Street, the site has a handy location five minutes’ drive from the pretty town of Pewsey, its shops and restaurants. And even handier, it comes with a pub attached to it.

The Woodbridge is an 18th-century coaching inn well-known for its traditional Sunday roasts; the pub serves local beers brewed in Devizes and has a riverside beer garden with a play area for younger guests.

You can also order picnic meals for your jaunts around the North Wessex Downs to mysterious Stonehenge and ethereal Avebury (both 20 minutes’ drive).

Back on site, simple facilities include an up-cycled amenities hut with showers. You can go paddleboarding and fishing on the Avon (Please note we do not provide Paddleboarding or Fishing equipment ). there are plenty of riverside walks so you can exercise any canine chums who are along for the ride.
